The ComfortCuff technology permits inflation pressure to adjust to each patient’s arm size, eliminating the potential for cuff over-inflation while still ensuring accurate readings. Competitive units using standard oscillometric techniques do not utilize this technology. Acquiring the reading during cuff inflation allows ComfortCuff to hold the pressurization rate constant. This is particularly relevant in monitoring infants, pediatrics and seniors, where subsequent reads can cause added discomfort.
